FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We hope to be able to answer any questions you may have. If you do not find an answer to your question, please ask here and we will get back to you as soon as possible!

HOW MUCH SHOULD I ORDER?

  • For events or parties where Weckerly’s Ice Cream is the main dessert, we recommend 2 minis per person or 1 full size sandwich per person.

  • For events or parties with a varied selection of desserts, 1 mini per person works or ordering full size sandwiches for 75% of the total guests.

How long can mini sandwiches sit out?

  • In the case of severe air-borne peanut allergies, we do not recommend our ice cream. Due to the fact that peanuts are used occasionally in baking and other preparations, we cannot guarantee the complete absence of trace elements in the facility. Our process when it comes to working with peanuts and tree nuts is as follows:

    • For ice creams and sorbets containing nuts, those are run at the very end of the day. The process of cleaning the batch freezer (ice cream machine) surpasses typical commercial kitchen sanitation standards to comply with dairy processing guidelines. The machine is mechanically cleaned with an acidic dairy cleaner and sanitizer and then each component is hand washed with commercial grade detergent and sanitized with a chlorine sanitizer.

    • Baked goods made with nuts are not baked at the same time as those made without nuts. However, the same over is used. We use disposable parchment sheets on our baking sheets, which are then cleaned and sanitized between batches.

    • Ice cream sandwiches and mini ice cream sandwiches are produced and packaged in batches. Nut-based batches are not produced in the same session as non-nut based products.

How BIG are the mini sandwiches?

  • The minis are 1.5" X 1.5" and about 2-4 bites.

HOW MANY FLAVORS CAN I ORDER?

  • For pre-packaged orders, there isn’t a limit, BUT we do recommend keeping the options limited for smaller orders (under 100 sandwiches). Three to four flavors is more than enough.

I want to buy pints and regular sandwiches for a small get together, how should I store them beforehand and how should I serve them to my guests?

  • If a freezer is available, keep them tightly packed and frozen in the freezer until your guests are ready to enjoy them. Another option is to have a cooler with dry ice (both can be provided by us for an extra cost) and have your guests essentially order their sandwiches or scoops from a designated server when they’re ready to enjoy them.
